It’s been a huge day forResident Evilfans, withResident Evil 8getting an in-depth showcase revealing a heap of new information about the forthcoming game. However, there was a smaller piece of information included in the showcase that fans may have missed, and it’s great news for those that skipped the last big entry in the franchise,Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.

As announced by Capcom during today’s showcase, theResident Evil Village & Resident Evil 7 Biohazard Bundlewill include bothResident Evil 7and8.Both games featureEthan Winters as the protagonist, with the stories heavily relating to each other. The bundle, which is live now for pre-order, features the Gold Edition ofBiohazardand the Deluxe Edition ofVillagefor $79.99.

Just like the other editions of the game, fans that order the bundle will receive the newResident Evilmultiplayer experienceRE:Verse,a competitive title featuring iconic characters from the franchise. Additionally, fans will receive the other pre-order bonuses included with the games, like the Trauma Pack and a Mr. Raccoon Weapon Charm, along with a few other digital goodies.

Resident Evil 7, while adopting the first-person perspective, was considered a much-needed return to form for the franchise by many fans, taking it back to its survival horror roots after the franchise dipped its toes into action-heavy entries for a period of time. The game was hailed by critics for its atmosphere and story, and has maintained positive user scores on review aggregate site Metacritic.

The narratives of theResident Evilgames can be a bit convoluted, so those that skippedResident Evil 7may want to consider picking up this bundle. Those that do opt to pick it up will be granted immediate access toResident Evil 7,which should hold them over untilResident Evil Villagereleaseslater this year. The bundle is playable on both current and next-gen consoles, though purchasing it entitles buyers to both versions of the game through free upgrades.

Resident Evil Villagelaunches in May, so fans don’t have too long to wait before they get to see the next chapter in the long-running horror franchise. The game is incorporating bold new elements over the last entry, at least as far asResident Evil Villagegameplayhas shown thus far, so there will likely be plenty of surprises in store for fans of the game. In the meantime, players will just have to journey through the older entries once again.
