Releasing several games over his time in the industry - includingRez Infinite, Child of Eden, and 2018’sTetris Effect-EnhanceCEO Tetsuya Mizuguchi has long been an innovative name in the world of video games. It seems the esteemed developer will be working on a new project set to debut on next-generation platforms in the years to come, with Mizuguchi announcing the existence of the untitled project during an interview with Famitsu magazine.

Speaking on what players can expect from the game, the developer revealed it won’t stray too far from what Mizuguchi has worked on previously, referring to it as amultiplayer “synesthesia experience.” Synesthesia is the word used to describe the stimulation of the senses, and according to the CEO, the game will aim to capitalize on that by “visualizing music and sound into tactile sensations.”

Better yet, it seems players have already had something of a glimpse into the tone and style of the title, with the game designer claiming that a level fromRez Infiniteacted as something of a prologue to the upcoming release. The level is known as Area X and was one of the biggest new additions added toRezin its 2016 remaster.
