An announcement on the game’s official site revealed that a collaboration between brands has resulted in the legendary Aston Martin DB5, plus more notable content inspired by007’sfilmography, arriving in the Item Shop.
For all parties involved, the choice to tieJames Bondin withRocket Leaguewas likely a simple one since his supercar is a perfect fit for the game’s frantic, vehicle-flipping speed.First seen in the third Bond movie,Goldfinger, the Aston Martin DB5 is being taken from the silver screen and thrown onto the pitch byRocket Leaguedeveloper Psyonix.

Revealed on Twitter to acclaim from both fans of the game and films alike, the brief reveal trailer shows007’sfamous ride speeding around the rooftops of Italy. It then dramatically drifts on top of a narrow bridge, before using its notorious jet-boosters to blast the battle ball into the air. The reveal conclusively ends with a splash-screen that states, “James Bond Will Return,” a closing credit tagline that dates back toFrom Russia with Love.
With the reveal over, players will be able to purchase the Aston Martin DB5 in the Item Shop from July 29 to August 4. There it will be on sale for a somewhat steep 1,100 Credits. Once the player has acquired the supercar, the accompanying items will also be added to their inventory: Signature Silver Birch Paint Finish, Engine Audio, DB5 Wheels, and a Reel Life Decal. Furthermore, the iconic car is set to be the first of manyJames Bond-themed contentdestined to hitRocket Leaguein the future as Psyonix declared that a “multi-year collaboration” between MGM and Aston Martin has been set up.
