Past leaks have suggested thatGenshin Impactplayers will be visiting a new limited-time area during the final Fontaine patch, featuring an event story centered around the Hexenzirkel. Teasers have also hinted at players getting their first taste ofGenshin Impact’s mount system, with the limited zone set to include a similar mechanic. Fresh leaks are now showing a new NPC from Version 4.8’s exclusive area.

Genshin Impact Leak Hints at New Version 4.8 NPC
A recent update shared byGenshin Impactleaker Miruko shows off theappearance of one ofGenshin Impact’s newest creatures. The image shows a mechanical dragon that will appear during Version 4.8, featuring textured 3D models of both the dragon’s head and one of its feet. The leak did not confirm whether the unusual dragon NPC would be a mount that players could control or an enemy to fight during the update. The poster also shared that players would be able to discover the dragon during a"secret scene" within Version 4.8’s main event.
The addition ofGenshin Impact’s newest limited-time area is far from the only thing planned for the Fontaine region’s swan song. HoYoverse recently confirmedEmilie asGenshin Impact’s next five-star character, with leaks revealing her to be a Dendro Polearm user. Leaks have also hinted at potential major changes to come to the RPG with its next update, including removing the spawn cooldowns forGenshin Impact’s world bosses. Version 4.8 is currently expected to launch on July 17.

While leaks are already teasing the new content to come withGenshn Impact’s next update, Version 4.7 brought plenty to the table for fans. The ongoingGenshin Impactupdate introduced three brand-new characters to the game’s playable roster, with five-star characters Clorinde and Sigewinne and four-star character Sethos available. July will also welcome the launch ofGenshin Impact’s newest endgame content, with the debut of the Imaginarium Theater.
