After the original game was ported to mobile, it seemsStar Wars:Knights of the Old Republic 2 -The Sith Lordswill officially be following suit, as Aspyr Media announced a mobile port will be available on December 18. According to the studio, it will be the full experience but optimized for mobile play, and will be available on specific iOS and Android devices.

For those who never playedKnights of the Old Republic 2,the game takes place 4,000 years before the beginning ofStar Wars: The Phantom Menaceand focuses on an exiled Jedi Knight. The player gets to create their own custom character and venture across theStar Warsuniverse, reconnecting with the force while opting to either embrace the light or dark side. The game was developed byObsidian Entertainment, the minds behindFallout: New VegasandThe Outer Worlds,so players can expect a myriad of tough moral choices, fun RPG gameplay, and a deeper insight into theStar Warsuniverse.
Seeing as the game is a comprehensive RPG, it seems fitting for a portable mobile version, especially considering players can enjoy both of the iconicStar Warsgameson their Android or iOS devices. The trailer for the new port seems to confirm that it won’t be too heavily watered down either, with the game’s battles running fairly well despite the platform change.
As for theKnights of the Old Republicfranchise in general, it still remains as one of the most toutedStar Warsvideo game adaptations ever. To this day, fans are still hungry for a remake or follow-up, withthousands signing a petition for a remake of the original game this September.
