The galaxy is a dangerous place inStarfield, and if players want to fight their way through different factions, dangerous alien monsters, and pirates that want to kill the players, and their crew, and steal their goods, then they are going to want to make sure their damage resistance is up to scratch.Starfieldhas many different mechanics that can influence the fight ahead, and damage resistance is one of the more important ones.

Whether it’sfighting Spacers, Crimson Fleet members, or aliens, consuming an item or food that can increase damage resistance is a great idea for players who are preparing for war in the near-infinite cosmos on offer when players venture throughStarfield, as they will be able to shrug off bullets, lasers, and any attack that could kill them.
6Codos Crater
Although the Codos Crater is a beer that can reduce a fair percentage of O2 Recovery for a few minutes, it’s still worth picking up for that extra layer of courage players will take as they embark into battle. A quick drink will have them feeling like Popeye with spinach, especially thanks to the +100 Damage Resistance that will see them tear through enemy factions whilst their damage repels against them like its nothing.
More interestingly, Codos Crater is a drink that has some lore behind it, as players can only find it as part of the Freestar Collective members. This means it can be a pretty sought-after drink inthe Settled Systems, as United Colonies space won’t have access to this Filburn Agriculture beer.
5Anchored Immobilizers
Although Anchored Immobilizers are mainly used to treat bad injuries that players can get by being too rowdy and careless with what their body is capable of, it’s still a great aid item that can be used to increase Damage Resistance, with a whopping 5 minutes. This means that for 5 minutes of pure adrenaline-fueled combat, players are going to experience a greater Damage Resistance that could end up saving their lives.

If players aren’t so interested in the Damage Resistance bonuses for the Anchored Immobilizers, then the fact that it cantreat so many bad injuriesthat involve bones means that players can really throw their body around without fear of permanent injuries that could result.
4Battlestim
There’s nothing quite as battle-ready as the Battlestim, the inhaler that was designed to grant soldiers greater Damage resistance and bravery on the battlefield. Players can battle against allStarfieldfactions with theBattlestim at the ready.
A bonus to 250 Damage Resistance is a great statistic to behold, especially when it lasts for 5 minutes. That’s a long time to cause some serious damage, whilst ignoring the wounds that the player could achieve without such resistance.
3Boudicca
Whilst most aid items can offer some level of Damage Resistance, none do it quite like the Boudicca. This inhaler greatly increases both oxygen and resistance to damage, meaning players can expect a huge chunk of their health to remain as it is, and barely move against those harsh hitting bullets and blunt objects that are seeking to cause the player harm.

Thanks to a whopping +300 Damage Resistance, players can experience far less risk for engaging in combat in the open without the safety of cover to protect them, as this Boudicca will count as said cover. However, players shouldn’t be too cocky, even with the great advantages of Boudicca, and it’ssomewhat affordable cost.
2Heart Plus
If players want to temporarily increase their fortitude and pain tolerance, then Heart Plus is the one for them. This injector item isgreat for embarking into battle, as it will increase the player’s total health and Damage Resistance stats. Although 2 minutes may not feel like a long time, the battle can be over in no time as the daring player takes charge, running around with the power of the Heart Plus to finish the fight.
Players can expect great advantages to their aggressive play style thanks to the 20% increase in their Health, as well as the ability to shrug off damage with a bonus of 200 Damage Resistance. Although these are not permanent buffs, Heart Plus can be found in many locations in the Settled Systems, so there will never be a short supply.
1Red Trench
Red Trench is an inhaler that can improve pain tolerance and adrenaline production within the body. It’s made through the combination of CQB-X and a BattleStim, and is a great use of the player’s craftable skills, and to those players that really enjoy the sadistic nature of a melee weapon.
The fact that players can provide themselves with a Damage Resistance modifier, as well as a bonus to their Melee Damage, makes them a death machine for 3 minutes. Players can run around wielding a weapon of their choice, beating enemies to death whilstignoring the fact that they are getting shot.
