Summary
There are a few different kinds of missions inStarfield, and Misc. Missions are typically the more mundane type of side quest. They don’t have the same theatrical storytelling as some of the faction quests or even the main Constellation mission, but they are a nice bit of flavor that adds to the universe ofStarfield.

Most of these missions provide players witha small amount of XP, somewhere between 50 to even up to 200. Ideally, players will want to avoid quests that only give them less than 100. Here are a few ofStarfield’seasiest Misc. Missions to complete for a minimum 100 XP gain. The criteria for the chosen quests are that they are relatively short to complete and don’t require players to use too many resources like ammo or aid items.
To get even more XP, make sure to sleep an hour or more before completing these quests to get a small XP boost (10%). Sleeping with a romanced companion further increases this boost (15%).

9Heart Of Mars
A bit of an urban legend circulates among the miners on Mars, and Laylah Pulaski is the first to share it with the player. She sends them off into a cave where the rumored Heart of Mars is located, which is essentially a highly valuable clump of titanium ore.
Returning the ore to Laylah is all there is to the mission, and the bonus is that players even get to keep this precious item at the end of it on top of the XP reward.

8All For One
Neon is the perfect place for XP grindingsince there are a ton of small Misc. Missions crammed in a relatively small space. Speaking with any of the vendors is bound to start a few quests, including All For One, which can be acquired from James Newill.

The quest just tasks players with persuading another vendor to stop paying Neon’s security guards for protection money. For a better chance at persuasion, speak with Newill’s wife (usually sweeping the shop he can be found in) to get an extra dialogue option during the persuasion minigame.
7Balancing The Books
When players firststart their Ryujin questline, they’ll likely walk past Rafiq Shamza, another Ryujin worker on the Operations floor. He has a quick little task for any helpful players that can be completed by tracking down a few sheets of paper after chatting with Huong Le.
It’s a fast and simple quest to complete, so make sure to pick it up while completing any other Ryujin faction quests.

6Bare Metal
Another quest in Neon is tied to Frank, one of the vendors. He’s angry about a case of vandalism that left Styx, his robot, in a miserable state. Players need to track down the culprit, Warlord, who can be found hanging about at Euphorika.
It’s up to the players how to handle things. Either way, Frank will be grateful for a job well done and reward the players with a moderate amount of XP. Given how these two locations are close to one another, it’s a quick trip to make during any other major story beats.

5Defensive Measures (And Consecutive Quests)
Now on to Akila City, where Keoni Alpin can be foundarguing with Davis Wilson regarding the Ashta situation. The first step of Defensive Measures has players assist Keoni by plopping down a few sensors by the wall of the city. Players will also need to deal with a local guard so Keoni can gain access to a terminal. Having finished the Freestar Ranger quest line greatly helps with the latter step, as players can simply order the guard to leave his post.
This quest is followed by two consecutive steps which are also relatively easy to complete, and only require the player to wait a few hours in between (this can be done by passing time sitting around or sleeping). Each consecutive step (False Positives and Leader of the Pack) rewards the players with 100 XP, resulting in 300 XP at the end. While the second and final step does include a bit of fighting, these should be relatively easy for players to handle, even at a lower level.

4Keeping The Peace
This quest is extremely easy to pick up right off the bat as players first arriveat New Atlantisand walk past the city scan. The sergeant’s HQ is located on the right side of the checkpoint. Yumi will task the players with a simple mission, which sends them to fetch a package after talking with another operative of the UC.

The quest only involves walking around New Atlantis and is done in under five minutes, which makes it among the easiest 100 XP to earn. Moreover, the sergeant will follow up with more missions in the future.
3Saburo’s Solution
Back to Neon, Saburo is the head of the local Mining League and wants the player to help them out with a few flyers. Hand them out at some of the other local vendors (some of them will refuse, but others will be happy to have a look).
This mission is pretty handy, as it can be done simultaneously with some of the other vendor-related quests in Neon (of which there are several). Plus, with how close each vendor is in Neon Core, there’s no need to go far at all to earn the 100 XP reward.

2Charity Of The Wolf
This is a tricky one to pick up, but eventually, players will likely overhear something about Amira requiring some help with her shelter. Players can give her a small donation, but there’s also a separate string of tasks that involves tracking down a wheat shipment and collecting more donations.
For a full guide onhow to complete Charity of the Wolf, refer to this walkthrough guide. While it’s a bit longer to complete, it doesn’t require too much from players, and the XP rewards are actually bumped up to 200, which is fantastic considering it’s a Misc. Mission.

1Juno’s Gambit
One of the more interesting Misc. Missions inStarfieldis one that will trigger when players jump into a system to witness an Ecliptic ship assaulting a civilian vessel. This is seemingly random, so it might take some time for it to trigger. Having the Ryujin questline active past the hiring stage can be massively beneficial for this mission, too.
After dealing with the mercenaries, board the ship to meet Khambatta and Collins, two Ryujin operatives arguing over the fate of an AI gone rogue. It’s up to the player to decide what to do with Juno, and regardless of the outcome, they’ll earn 200 XP for resolving the situation.

Starfieldis available on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
