InStarfield, there are a lot of locked doors, which require players to find their keys in order to open them. This guide will show players how to find Kay’s Apartment Key in order to open the locked door in her house.
Kay’s Apartment
While visiting The Well in New Atlantis, players might come across Kay’s House. They might stumble upon it while completing missions such asThe Kindness of Strangersor simply hearing about it from the various NPCs. This homey restaurant is the favorite of many that inhabit The Well, especially since it’s the opposite of Jake’s. At Kay’s House, gamers will be greeted with open arms and receive a warm welcome whenever they step inside.
Players can even enter Kay’s apartment by going up the stairs next to the restaurant’s kitchen. Inside her apartment, gamers will be able toretrieve the recipe for the Shepherd’s Piemeal that she sells downstairs, and they will also find a large locked door.
How to Get Kay’s Apartment Key
When players first attempt to open the locked door inside Kay’s apartment, a prompt will appear on the top right corner of the screen, letting them know that itcan only be unlocked with Kay’s apartment key. The key is not inside the apartment - it’s with Kay Mason herself.
Gamers who want to unlock Kay’s apartment door will have to steal it from her, and to do this, they must unlock the Theft Skill in the Social Skill Tree, as this is what gives players theability to pickpockettargets inStarfield.
To pickpocket Kay Mason, players must approach her from behind while crouching. Next, they have to press the Pickpocket option once they’re close enough - this will allow them to see what’s in her pockets. Gamers must select Kay’s Apartment Key and then the Steal option.
It’s important to try and remain unseen while attempting to pickpocket someone inStarfield; if the player is detected, this will greatly decrease their chances of pickpocketing successfully without getting caught. Stealing is illegal inStarfield, so getting caught will increase the player’s bounty with the United Colonies, and security may be notified right away.
Once gamers have successfully acquired Kay’s Apartment Key, they will be able to open and use the door upstairs; this gives them direct access to the second level of the restaurant.
