Echoes of the Past is the next Quest triggered upon completing Rook Meets King inStarfield. It’s a long and complicated Quest that takes place on a cold abandoned Planet. The complication comes from the length of the Quest and also the fact that the selected area is very large, which might confuse some players.
At the end of theEchoes of the Past Quest, the Protagonist won’t only receive the usual rewards like Credits and Gear inStarfield, but will also get to enjoy a new Spaceship as well as a Legendary Weapon.

How To Trigger Echoes Of The Past Quest In Starfield
Triggering Echoes of the Past Quest is done by completing the Rook Meets KingQuest inStarfield. After that, players are sent with another Crimson Fleet rookie to get tested on another Planet.
For starters, head toSuvorovPlanet in theKryxSystem and land onThe Lockto proceed. Listen to Delgado’s instructions and go inside The Lock to explore and secure the area.

How To Secure The Area In The Echoes Of The Past Quest
To secure the area in the Echoes of the PastQuest, players need tokill all the alien enemies inStarfield(Immature Grylloba).
Next, speak with Delgado who sends the Protagonist and Mathis to explore the nearby corridor. Sadly, the walls collapse, forcing both parties to separate which makes the latter suggest betraying the Crimson Fleet leader together since it’s the perfect opportunity.Whichever choices players make, it won’t affect the mission outcome.
Follow theQuest marker inStarfieldto the Control Room and use the Intercom to speak with Delgado, who tells players how to search for clues on Jasper Kryx and open up a path for him. Interact with the Workstation and chooseSecurity Controls, Override Lockdown.
Jasper Kryx Clue Location In the Echoes Of The Past Quest
Jasper Kryx’sclue can be found inside his cell inStarfield. After unlocking the System, proceed to the D-Block of the Prison with Mathis then follow the Quest marker to the Guard Tower. The rookie will again suggest killing Delgado andplayers can choose any option as it doesn’t matter.
Once inside the Guard Tower, approach the Workstation inStarfieldand read theD-Block 03 Prisoner Listinside thePrisoner Recordsto find out Jasper Kryx’s cell number.
Next, open theD-Block Switch Controlfile and pickUnlock Section 03 Switch.
Players may also read the last file to open an optional cell D-02-106 and collect the weapons inside.
Follow the Quest marker to turn on the switch then enter Jasper’s cell.Interact with the lampto the left to findBest Laid Planswhich is an audio log that leads to the next clue.
Head to the lockers next to the showers and open the one in the middle to getCarter’s Gig (Evidence).
The evidence is a key item in the Burden of Proof Quest
After that, use the Maintenance Access Computer to open Kryx’s escape tunnel and from there, head to the Shuttle Bay. Use the Intercom to speak with Delgado and players can either tell himit was a team effortorthat they worked alone. Mathis will, later on, admit that it’s for the best to forget about the “killing Delgado plan”.
How To Get The Keelhauler In Starfield
For the next step of the Echoes of the Past Quest, equipa strong weapon inStarfieldas theJuvenile Grylloba Queenis waiting at the Shuttle Bay. Defeat the large enemy and her minions to board the spaceship and head back to The Key.
Upon, landing, players will be informed that theUC Prison Shuttleis their new Home Ship.
Go inside The Key and speak with Delgado to give him Jasper’s clue, and he rewardsa Legendary Pistol inStarfieldcalled theKeelhauler. To complete the Quest, speak with Mathis and Naeva at the Last Nova then head to General Kibwe Ikande to report the mission.
