DespitePower Rangersbeing a fairly popular franchise since it first debuted in the 1990s, there hasn’t really been a standoutPower Rangersvideo game. However, one of the most successfulPower Rangersgames so far has beenPower Rangers: Legacy Wars, a mobile fighting game that has been downloaded by millions of people and is set in the same universe as the 2017Power Rangersfilm reboot. The game is updated with new content on a regular basis, with the developers often adding new characters, like the recently revealed Chun-Li Ranger.

Chun-Li herself has been inPower Rangers: Legacy Warssince 2018, along with some otherStreet Fightercharacters. However, Chun-Li Ranger is literally aPower Rangersversion of the character, complete with her own helmet, morphing sequence, and more. Despite the new look, this version of Chun-Li has a move-set that should be familiar to fans of the character.

As it turns out,Chun-Liisn’t the firstStreet Fightercharacter to be turned into a literal Power Ranger inPower Rangers: Legacy Wars. Earlier this year, fans were treated to Ryu Ranger, which as one might have guessed, is a Power Ranger version of Ryu. Moving forward, it’s possible that the otherStreet Fightercharacters that were added to the game last year will get a properPower Rangersmakeover as well. If so, then Akuma, Cammy, Guile, and M. Bison could all be next up.

Power Rangers: Legacy Warsmay be one of the most successfulPower Rangersvideo games to date, but it’s certainly not the only one that has released in recent years. One of the more notablePower Rangersvideo games to launch recently wasPower Rangers: Battle for the Grid, which launched earlier this year. LikeLegacy Wars,Battle for the Gridis a fighting gamethat lets players duke it out as various Power Rangers from different eras of the show.

Power Rangers: Battle fro the Gridalso features Megazordsand higher production values when compared toLegacy Wars, which may be a draw for some. However, the game has yet to add anyStreet Fightercharacters, so those who enjoy the crossover appeal will have to stick withLegacy Warsfor the time being.

Power Rangers: Legacy Warsis available now for iOS and Android mobile devices.
