After fans have waited a long five years for the next entry in theTalesRPG series,Tales of Arisefinally launches on September 10th. The game promises to change things up from what fans have known since the franchise began, and that can be daunting for some players. Could they expect this new title to still feel like theTalesRPGs they’ve known for years? They won’t have to wonder about that for very much longer, asTales of Ariseis getting a playable demo on August 18th.

As the game has tried to pique fans' interest as of late, Bandai Namco Entertainment has been giving fans a few looks atTales of Arise’s fishing and cooking features, as well as its animated opening.

The publisher has now revealed that a demo allowing fans to dive intoTalesof Arise’s combatand world exploration features is arriving in just over a week. There isn’t too much information on how long the demo is just yet, but some demos released lately have been a bit on the hefty side. There could be a chance that this game’s demo might give a lengthy first look at whatArisecan offer players after they had been waiting patiently over the years.

Sadly the progress players make inTales of Arise’sdemo won’t be carried to the full game. And for players looking to try out the game on PC, it seems they’re sitting this one out entirely as a PC demo isn’t mentioned at all.

This situation comes with a few pros and cons. With no idea how big the demo for the RPG is, players are left in two tricky situations. If the demo is on the large side, then it may prove to be tedious for players to redo things likeunlocking Mystic Artestwice over with the full game after doing once already.

On the other hand, if the demo is on the small side, that may not be enough to convince long-term fans or even new ones to pick up the newestTalestitle. It seems the way the start of the game holds up compared to the oldertitles likeTales of Berseriawill change the course of the next month forArise. The demo, if it’s good or bad, could sway even the most loyal players' hearts critically at the very last minute.

Tales of Arisecomes out on September 10th for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, with the free demo reaching consoles on August 18th.
