Tchiais an open-world adventure game. It follows the title character as she saves her father from the cruel ruler Meavora. The game invites players to explore a lush in-game world inspired by New Caledonia. Players will have the chance to climb, sail, and even play ukulele. They’ll be able to unlock a number of achievements along the way, including Historian.
Players can unlockTchia’sHistorian achievement by finding and opening each of the game’s treasure chests. There are twenty-one treasure chests to track down. Players can find them using a series of treasure maps. These have to be followed in order. Each map leads to the next treasure chest, which will have another map and key alongside its treasure.
All Treasure Chest Locations in Tchia
Treasure Chest 1: Gaby’s Key
Players can get their first treasure map and key by bringing Gaby a crab early-on inTchia’sstory. Gaby is found in Weliwele. Players will receive the first treasure map the dayafter they’ve completed her quest. They’ll also get Gaby’s Old Key.
This treasure map shows the island Dopwa, which is found to the south of the larger Ija Nöj. Players can identify the location by finding the large rock depicted in the treasure map. A treasure chest will be at the bottom of this rock. Opening it gives players the next treasure map and key, as well as a Mask With Cloth.
Treasure Chest 2: Red Key
Tchia’ssecond treasure chest isn’t that far away from the first. Players can find itin a cave near Dopwa. Find the cave by heading east from the first chest. The entrance will be on the right side of a cliff, as depicted on the treasure map. Opening this chest gives players a Henchman Vest alongside the next treasure map and key.
Treasure Chest 3: Orange Key
Players can find the third treasure chest on a small island in Hua. The treasure chest will be secured with several chains. Players cantake control of a crabto cut these. Crabs can be found throughout Hua. The chest gives players an Ancestral Top alongside the next map and key.
Treasure Chest 4: Yellow Key
The fourth treasure chest is located south of the third. Take a look around. There will be a carving in a nearby wall – players can find a passageway under the water below. Dive in and follow the passageway all the way to the left. Players will find a cave here. This contains the treasure chest, which gives players a Big Stamina Fruit alongside the usual rewards.
It’s best to be at full stamina before going underwater. It’s a long swim to the treasure chest, and players may have to completea rock balancing mini-gamealong the way. This unlocks the Infinite Breath Bubble Soul-Melody, which is useful later in the game.
Treasure Chest 5: Green Key
Players can find the fifth chest in a cave by the eastern shore or Ija Nöj. There will be a cave with an owl carved by the entrance. Players will need explosives toget to the treasure chestinside. Try using a gas can or lantern. The chest contains a Mask with Feathers, a treasure map, and a key.
Treasure Chest 6: Dark Green Key
The sixth treasure chest is in Madra Nöj. Players can find it up a hill witha white owl drawn on a rock. There will be a small gap. Players will need to soul-jump into a rock to pass through it. The treasure chest will be inside. It’ll give players a map, key, and Henchman Pants.
Treasure Chest 7: Turquoise Key
Tchia’sseventh chest is to thenorth of a food standnear Xupi Maano. There will be a tree with an owl carved on it – the chest will be buried nearby. Players can soul-jump into a pig or dog to unearth it. The treasure chest has a map, key, and a pair of Ancestral Pants inside.
Treasure Chest 8: Blue Key
This treasure chest is found south of the campfire in Pwara Nyaa. The path will be blocked off by several rocks. Players should bring explosives to deal with these. It’s best tobring a crab as well, as players will need it to cut chains off the treasure chest. The treasure chest gives players a map, key, and a Big Stamina Fruit.
Treasure Chest 9: Dark Blue Key
Found by Sei at Ija Nöj. There is a cave to the northwest of the bridge. A pole will be by the cave’s entrance. Go inside, then to dig up the chest. Players will receive a Mask with Coconut Fibers, map, and key.
