Summary

Food inPalworldis not only eaten by the player’s character but should also be made accessible to their Pals; both those in the player’s party on adventures with them and those working hard at base. On top of nutrition, food also restores sanity for pals, something they losewhen overworked.

However, not all food is created equally, with certain foods restoring much more nutrition, which the biggest and most hungry Pals will need. For example, cooked food and full-on meals provide more nutrition and sanity than raw ingredients. Meals can be cooked at a campfire, cooking pot, or electric kitchen withPalworld’sbest food only available at the more advanced cooking stations. Food for workers should be placed inside food containers on the base, and for Pals in the party, they will eat anything assigned to food bag slots.

Although theMozzarina Hamburgerdoesn’t provide as much nutrition as theMozzarina Cheeseburger, it only requires one Mozzarina Meat, rather than two, and no Milk is needed either.

Players will, however, need to get their hands on two Lettuce and the easiest way to do this is to set up a farm at the baseafter finding Lettuce Seeds. These seeds are dropped by Cinnamoths, Bristlas, Wumpo Botans, and Broncherry Aquas, or can be purchased from a merchant at Fisherman’s Point. Lettuce can also be used to make Salad, which some vegetarian players may prefer to eat.

One of the best meals inPalworld, especially because of how easy the ingredients are to acquire, isRushoar Bacon ‘n’ Eggs.Rushoars are fairly commonPals and very easy to kill, meaning players can go around picking up plenty of their meat.

This meat can then be cooked with Eggs, which are laid by Chikipis in great quantity at the Ranch from very early on in the game. If players stock up on Rushoar Bacon ‘n’ Eggs and place them in a feed bag, neither they nor their Pals will ever go hungry.

If players are only interested in nutrition and not sanity, thenMammorest Steakis a great option with a whopping 252 nutrition. Best of all, players need no more ingredients than Mammorest Meat, and once players havea few good Fire Pals, these grassy giants aren’t that hard to take down.

Similar alternatives to this form of cooked meat are Broncherry Rib Roast and Roast Reindrix, although these Pals are slightly less common, making their meats less accessible.

Cakeis a special type of food inPalworldas it not only has by far the highest nutrition and sanity, but it is also the only item thatenables Pals to breedand successfully lay eggs. Despite its high food values, players will likely only want to use it for breeding as cake takes an incredibly long time to make, and uses lots of ingredients too. This makes it inefficient for satisfying hunger.

Once players have finished making their cake, they should put it in the chest inside the breeding pen, where it can be consumed by the soon-to-be parents. In the event that a particularly good worker is very low on sanity, players could consider feeding them a cake to almost instantly restore their happiness.
