Bow
For fans of stealth, the bow upgrades are crucial to maintaininga quiet playstyle inThe Last of Us Part 1, offering the only solution for picking off enemies silently from a distance.

In particular, theRange add-onsmake arrows travel much greater distances, while theDraw Speed modsgive a much-needed boost to getting a quick kill. TheReload Speed upgradealso makes for a nice addition for players who find themselves using the Bow a lot.
Hunting Rifle
The most powerful weaponin the series, the Hunting Rifle offers some of the most impressive andtransformative upgrades inThe Last of Us Part 1. Most crucially are thePower and Armor Piercing upgradesthat give the weapon a much greater punch.
Like with the Bow, if players find themselves using this powerful weapon a lot, they should also think about investing in the other upgrades.
El Diablo
A hand cannon of insane proportions, this little devil is comparable toJoel’s Hunting Riflein power. As such, players will also want to use their weapon parts ontheArmor Piercing upgradesto help quickly take down the tougher enemies in the game.
With such a small cylinder, players will also want to think about buying theClip Capacity upgradetoo, though they are unlikely to ever be carrying much ammo for this formidable gun.
Flamethrower
This incredibly reliable weapon is the king ofcrowd control inThe Last of Us Part 1. Unparalleled in itsability to take on hordes of infected, the flamethrower upgrades are vital to a successful combat encounter with the fungal dead. ThePower and Range upgradesare the most necessary modifications that players can make, as a fuel tank capacity of 100 makes short work of anything in the way.
Honorable mentions go to theReload Speed upgrades for the Revolver, Shotgun, and Shorty, as well as theClip Capacity and Range mods for Shorty and the Shotgun. Dishonorable mentions go to any and allunnecessary fire rate upgrades.
