Fans can also look forward toThe Walking Dead: Onslaught, which has gotten its first real gameplay trailer along with a release date that reveals when it will launch across multiple VR platforms.
As revealed byThe Walking Dead: Onslaughttrailer, the game will be available on September 29 for PSVR, Oculus, and other PC VR headsets likeValve Indexand HTC Vive. The game will be a story-driven experience set in the same universe as the AMC TV show as opposed to the comic books. Players will take control of familiar characters from the show and be able to utilize their iconic weapons, with a number of playable characters shown off in the trailer.

The playable characters confirmed by the trailer includeDaryl Dixon, Michonne, and Rick Grimes. It’s unclear exactly where inThe Walking Deadtimeline this game takes place, but it’s safe to say that it’s prior to the big time-skip. It could be just after the Negan arc, or maybe before it. Fans may have to wait for the game itself to come out before they learn more specific details about its story.
As far as gameplay goes,The Walking Dead: Onslaughtlooks about how many fans would expect aVRWalking Deadgameto look. Players will be able to utilize motion controls to swing melee weapons at zombies, including Michonne’s iconic sword.
