In one of xQc’s recent streams, he spoke about how he’s been suffering from a shoulder issue for some time and has been putting off seeing a doctor. He described the issue as feeling like his shoulder slowly slips out of place while resting, and it would “click” back when he would stretch or move it around, though he said it did hurt when it “clicked” back into the socket. He then told his chat he would “stop stalling” and visit a doctor soon, meaning he would likely take a short break from streaming.

It wouldn’t be the first time xQc has suffered from some sort of physical ailment, with one of his more serious episodes coming inOctober 2022 following TwitchCon. The streamer had to be rushed to urgent care after he began bleeding from both ears as the result of a serious double-ear infection. As with his shoulder issue, though, he admitted he hadn’t felt well in the days leading up to this episode, but still put off going to the hospital in an attempt to continue streaming.

Streamers suffering from some sort of physical or mental health issue isn’t uncommon, with research by multiple institutes including the National Institutes of Health finding extended streaming can lead to burnout, anxiety, irregular sleeping, and even blood clots.
