As you start to grow your teams inUnicorn Overlord, you’ll find that the pairings and formations of your units might not be at their optimal positions. Changing your team’s positions even just by a few blocks can make a world of a difference in whether your team wins the battle.
Luckily, there is an easy way you can change each individual unit’s formation, and allow each character to play their role flawlessly. Some characters are more suited for the front row, and some are better in the back. If you’re wondering how you can change your unit formation, this guide will go over everything you need to know.
How to Change Unit Formation in Unicorn Overlord
At the beginning ofUnicorn Overlord, you’ll receive a tutorial on not onlyclassic JRPG tactics, but also unit formations that will show you exactly how you can change your formation. However, after the tutorial, we will show you how you can access this menu again.
Whenever you are in the overworld, visit theOverworld Menu, which you can find in the top left of the screen. At the top, you’ll notice’Unit Formation.‘When you choose this, you’ll come to a screen with all the current active units you have, and the members of each unit.
As an example, we are going to edit the first one, Alain’s Unit. Follow these steps to change the formation:

Best Class Formations in Unicorn Overlord

The Soldier has the ability to pierce through and attack both of your units, so you’ll want to place one to the left or right.
