It’s almost Summer Game Fest time, and with E3 being canceled, this event is now set to be the hub of summer video game announcements. Geoff Keighley kicks things off in style with his own opening ceremony livestream on June 8, followed by a number of smaller showcases like Double Fine’s Day of the Devs and the Devolver Direct. Then, Sunday brings out the big guns withthe Xbox Showcase, and the Ubisoft Forward presentation takes place just a day later. And now, just days before the event begins,Capcomannounces that it’s throwing its own hat in the ring.

Scheduled for Monday, July 12, 2025, at 6pm ET, Capcom’s showcase is currently the final conference on the docket for Summer Game Fest. While fans shouldn’t get their hopes up too much,Capcomhas promised just over 30 minutes of exciting new reveals, which could range from brand-new game announcements to gameplay trailers to updates on games already released. And though nothing official has been stated yet, there are a few games likely to appear during the upcoming Capcom Showcase.

What Fans Can Expect To See at Capcom’s June 12 Showcase

During its official announcement of the event, Capcom confirmed that the showcase would be just 36 minutes in length. While this is more than enough time to squeeze in a few reveals, it does hint that Capcom isn’t going to be showing too much. For reference,Summer Game Fest’s opening livestreamis set to last around two hours, as is Xbox’s showcase on June 11. Even Ubisoft’s presentation on Monday, taking place just a few hours before Capcom’s, is set to last for around an hour.

So with that time limit in mind, it seems more likely that Capcom will spend its showcase highlighting games already out and games right around the corner, such asExoprimal. The four-player co-op dinosaur shooterExoprimalis set to release in just a month’s time, on July 14. Over the last year or so, Capcom has pushedExoprimalheavily, showing it at just about every showcase event it can, from Capcom’s own livestreams toSony’s State of Plays. It would make complete sense then that Capcom would want to pushExoprimalonce again, especially at its own event, so fans can expect to see another gameplay trailer there.

Another likely candidate to appear during the Capcom Showcase isResident Evil 4 Remake. One of the best games of the year so far,Resident Evil 4 Remakeseemingly performed very well both critically and commercially, and it would make sense for Capcom to double down on that success with a DLC. When the game first released, many fans and critics were quick to point out the absence ofthe originalResident Evil 4’s Separate Ways side campaign, and speculation soon circulated that Capcom was planning to release it as a separate paid DLC a few months after the game’s launch. Even ifResident Evil 4 Remakedoesn’t end up getting the Separate Ways content as a DLC, it’s likely that Capcom will announce somethingResident Evil 4-related during its showcase.

WhileExoprimalandResident Evil 4 Remakeare the most likely candidates to appear during the Capcom Showcase, there are a handful of other games that could find their way to the spotlight next Monday.Dragon’s Dogma 2just received its first proper trailer during the recent PlayStation Showcase, and Capcom might want to strike while the iron is hot and deliver more details about the sequel during its own event. The Niantic mobile gameMonster Hunter Nowcould also be shown during the showcase, reminding general audiences of its existence following its recent beta, and maybe even receiving a specific release date inside its current September 2023 window.Capcom’s mysterious Sci-Fi adventure gamePragmatacould also be shown off again, with it last appearing all the way back in 2020.
