World of Warcraft Season of Discoveryis a version ofClassic WoWwith a few interesting twists, but certain things remain the same. Training, gear, and eventually a mount still require a considerable investment, and players also have to think about what profession they’ll have going into the endgame.
Classic WoW has the same selection of Professions as the vintage game, and when it comes to leveling and raiding, some are better than others. Players should choose a combination of professions that are both lucrative for making money and usefulfor raids and high-level dungeons.

Leveling Vs. Endgame
Early Professions And Endgame Ones
The professions players choose in World of Warcraft aren’t permanent. A character can only learn two of these at a time, but they can be changed later. Players should think about mixing and matching the following ideas depending on what the character needs. For example, classes that can wear leather, mail, or plate might not be as interested in Tailoring, although they can still use this Profession to make bagsand fun cosmetic accessories.
It’s recommended that characters focus on stockpiling resources so they can also generate a steady income to fund their future endeavors. Characters of higher levels who have more gold to spend on materials, ingredients, and resources can take two crafting Professions instead of one for gathering and one for crafting.

Best Profession Combos
There are eight professions in total; Herbalism, Skinning, Mining, Alchemy, Leatherworking, and Blacksmithing. These are further dividedinto Gathering and Crafting. Every character can learn the three secondary professions of Fishing, Cooking, and First Aid. Some professions, such as Lockpicking, are limited to class but are still considered a “service” profession."
Choosing the right professions is even more important in Season of Discovery. The “Waylaid Shipments” that players can find in the wilderness can be completed with crafted items along with raw materials acquired through collecting and stockpiling certain valuable items.

Herbalism And Tailoring
Tailoring is mainly a profession for Mages and Warlocks because these two classes are restricted to clothing and armor. The main resource for this profession is cloth drops from humanoid and undead enemies, leaving room for a secondprofession.
Herbalismis one of the three gathering professions and players can level this skill as they progress through different zones. Not all of the plants that grow in the wilderness are valuable, but anyone familiar with high-level Alchemy knows what sells.

Tauren characters have a +15 buff for Herbalism, plus their starting area is rich with herbs, mining nodes, and skinning prospects. Tauren players with an eye on their gold can combine Herbalism with another lucrative gathering profession and enjoy a steady income.
Enchanting And Mining
Enchantingis like Tailoring in the sense that no second profession is needed to gather the resources. This leaves room for another profession, and Enchanterswho are also spellcasterswill often choose Tailoring. However, Enchanting is something that all classes need, and when paired with Mining, it’s a nice source of income.
Look at any city chat and you’ll see other players either looking for enchants or selling them. The materials for Enchanting are acquired through “disenchanting” Uncommon, Rare, or Epic quality items. These valuable regents includeBrilliant ShardsandDream Dust, which is essential for the majority of recipes.

Miningis the most valuable of the gathering professions because its resources are shared between Blacksmithing and Engineering. Low-level items like coarse stone are an essential resource for both these professions, plus they can complete a Waylaid Shipment, so if the player doesn’t need them, they can sell them.
Miners who don’t have the Blacksmithing or Engineering profession can still harvest and refine materials. Smelting is one of the skills that players learn as miners, which means they can combine certain materials into something more valuable.

Skinning And Enchanting
A nice combination for any class, but it’s exceptional for a Druid or a Hunter who plans to take up leatherworking for crafting endgame raiding and PvP gear. The leather that is harvested from the corpses of beasts is the main ingredient in Leatherworking, but it’s also used to a lesser extent in the other two clothing professions, Tailoring and Blacksmithing.
Leather of Light, medium, or Heavy quality is used in several Leatherworking recipes, Tailors use it for boots and vests, and Blacksmithing requires leather straps for binding and grips. It can also be used to complete a Waylaid Shipment. It’s famously one of the most valuable commodities in the Auction House.
Combine this with the various money-making possibilities of Enchanting, which combines the income of a service and resource-gathering profession, and never worry about paying for that level 40 mount again.
